Five decades have passed since my feet last touched Belfast. It was, therefore, with some excitement that we booked a trip for early in 2024. Last time was all armoured vehicles, British soldiers, Guinness and barbed wire. This time it will be all Van, CS Lewis, Titanic, Seamus Heaney, Guinness and the craic.
That's the inspiration for this mixed media piece. The song replicates my own youth, fiddling with the dials on my tiny transistor "searching for Luxembourg....coming over the wavebands." I was beginning to learn about a world outside my little village, but I did let the goldfish go down the stream.
