“Bad Moon Rising” was at No 1 as I entered my 2nd year art school (Sept 1969), on the Fantasy label that was to give John Fogerty so much grief in the coming years. There was an apocalyptic air swirling in the aftermath of the ML King and Bobby Kennedy’s assassinations, and Fogerty asserts that it was metaphor for the times. I’ve attempted to use the moon, dead trees and blood splatters to get the feel of this classic 45. I learned the words written on his face, but we always sang “there’s a bathroom on the right” to wind it up.

This is a one-off Original piece on Saunders Waterford 300gsm HP paper, using mixed media including Watercolour Paint, Acrylic Paint, Inktense Pencils and occasionally Unison Colour Soft Pastels.
