This painting has been chosen as one of ten to hang in the #BigYinPortrait exhibition at the People's Palace along with the three which were used for murals in Glasgow city centre.
I love that look. He's considering exactly which sharp observation he's going to bowl at you, and it will no doubt double you up in hysterics. The master of detail sees things that bypasses most of us, and although he's been forced to slow down, the effect is still mesmerising. He's turned into a Glasgow wizard and is rightly cherished by all who love a good belly laugh.
This is mixed media waterbased paints, soft pastels and coloured pencil.
The original is now sold but a limited edition run of 75 prints will be available soon.
